My Secret Romance and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon swapped places on the Top 10 last week. What happens this week? Is your favorite drama among our most popular K-dramas and other Asian dramas? Let's find out!

Cheers to  Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun because the adorable couple has kept My Secret Romance in the lead. It's easy to forget that the romcom series is only 12 episodes, so we're already over halfway through. Don't you wish the fun drama to be longer?

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, at #2, will stay popular for a long, long time. I'm sure. Loevely musical romcom, Lovely Love Lie also holds on to #3 as it heads toward its conclusion this week.

The surprise winner this week is actually Chinese medical drama, Surgeons (Stories Behind OR), which has quietly built up a strong following and, boom, it's risen to #5. Find out more about Jin Dong, the drama's extraordinary leading man.

Were viewers waiting for a happy ending before jumping in?  Radiant Office, one of my personal favorites, reached the happy ending and zoomed up to #6. The fantastic office romance and character growth drama is a surprise delight. Go Ah Sung really impressed as the heroine. The bespectacled Lee Dong Hwi gave an outstanding performance to unexpectedly outshined leading man Ha Suk Jin as a romantic hero.

Another drama that reached a happy ending is  Medical Examiner Dr. Qin, at 14, which is actually quite an achievement for a crime mystery drama that warned viewers not to eat and watch at the same time. The breakthrough drama is so popular in China that a 2nd season has been confirmed. (Many fans are hoping that Dramafever will get it, but there is no confirmation yet.)

Gong Yoo's immortal Goblin is back at #7. The handsome leading man's popularity continues to rise as he embarks on a fan-meeting tour, and he also revealed that he is a descendant of Confucius, the renowned philosopher from ancient China. What more can surprise you about Gong Yoo?

Marriage Not DatingTen Miles of Peach Blossoms, and Tunnel reshuffled to hold #8, #9, and #10, respectively.

Last week's Top 10: Weekly Top 10 Asian Dramas - May 2, 2017

Saimdang: Light's Diary reached its emotional ending at #16 in the chart. It is a heartfelt story about true and enduring love between two artists who were soulmates but couldn't be together. It's too bad that the lower-than-expected ratings in South Korea led to the drama being cut short. We'll never know what the full drama would have been like. Maybe there'll be a director's version?

On my regular watch list: Father, I'll Take Care of YouYou Are Too Much, and My Secret Romance. Now that I have some room, which dramas should I start?

I'd love to hear from you! Please share your thoughts in the comments!
