Weekly Top 10 K-dramas
A new winner has taken over from last week's leader, The K2. We have more surprises in the rankings thanks to new drama offerings and perhaps the beginning of the holiday season. Is your favorite drama among the Top 10? Let's find out.
Let's all take a bow and congratulate The Princess Weiyoung for taking her crown. The fascinating historical drama stars Tiffany Tang as the princess in disguise on a quest to revenge for her conquered kingdom. She meets her true love in Luo Jin, who plays the prince of her enemy, the Wei dynasty, and battles a formidable adversary in the incomparable Vanness Wu, who has shined as a charming villain.
How do you like the very cute and happy ending in One Percent of Something? The answer is probably a resounding cheer, because the leading couple played by Ha Suk Jin and Jun So Min have taken their charming romance to #2, leaving previous leaders Scarlet Heart: Ryeo in #3 and The K2 in #5.
Another surprise comes from Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, starring Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung in a gender-bender romantic comedy in the Joseon era. Many of you probably know that this enthralling drama garnered top ratings in South Korea. Now that the entire series is uploaded for DramaFever viewers to start the holiday season, it has immediately jumped to #7. One nice thing about binging it is that we know it has a happy ending.
Let's call it the Moonlight effect, as Moonlight Drawn by Clouds pushes down quite a few dramas a notch, including #8 When a Snail Falls in Love and #10 Doctor Romantic, the two hit dramas that tightly wrap suspense and intrigue around our romantic hearts. For those who can't wait for a kiss between detectives Wang Kai and Wang Zi Wen, check out our hot man's very first on-screen kiss!
