Where Are They Now?- The Cast of My Girl
It's been a little over ten years since the SBS series My Girl brought joy and laughter into homes all over Asia and the world via satellite TV or DVD. Since the show wrapped in February of 2006, the young actors followed their own paths in life, whether it was continuing a career in entertainment or stepping away from life in the limelight. I decided to give you a brief update on seven stars from the series who fans will never forget.
1.Lee Da Hae (Joo Yoo Rin)
This year, the 32-year-old star made a big career shift by moving from FNC Entertainment to her new agency at JS Pictures. She was a guest star on Running Man, and accepted the leading role in the Chinese series Best Couple on Hunan TV.
2. Lee Dong Wook (Seol Gong Chan)
The 34-year-old actor is taking it easy this year after wrapping his movie The Beauty Inside and series Bubblegum. He is currently the MC on the ONstyle variety show The Bodyguard.
3. Lee Joon Ki (Seo Jung Woo)
Of course, Lee returns to his fans on Monday as Prince Wang So in the highly anticipated series Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. The 34-year-old singer and actor also starred in a Chinese and American film this year. Never Said Goodbye released on August 9 in China, while Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will hit theaters in the US on January 27, 2017.
4. Park Si Yeon (Kim Seo Hyun)
After her heartbreaking divorce filing in May, the mom of two returns to work next month in the JTBC series Fantastic. This is the 37-year-old star's first K-drama in two years following her 2014 CSTV show The Greatest Marriage.
5. Jo Kye Hyung (Ahn Jin Kyu)
Following his small supporting role in the 2007 romantic comedy Witch Amusement, the promising actor and model stepped away from the limelight. The now 33-year-old is apparently enjoying life without the burden of fame or sasaengs (stalker fans).
6. Hwang Bo Ra (Ahn Jin Shim)
Under her new agency UL Entertainment, Hwang has enjoyed a busy year! The 32-year-old actress scored supporting roles in Ms. Temper & Nam Jung-Gi, the movie Phantom Detective, and the upcoming MBC series Blow Breeze. She parted ways with the Fantagio family earlier this year.
7. Lee Eun Jung (Yoon Jin Kyung)
Lee, who is now in her 30s, is also known by her stage name Lee Sa Bi. This year, the former Playboy model hasn't starred in any productions. In 2014, she was cast in the tvN daily series Family Secrets, and she had a role in the adult film Hot Service: A Cruel Hairdresser last year.
Which star's career have you followed religiously since My Girl wrapped?
