Dearest DF readers — Carolyn has landed in Taiwan as of Friday, and is currently blogging about all the amazing food she eats during her trip.
One of my favorite things in the world is breakfast. Western breakfast with waffles and pancakes are things I cannot live without -- but I really missed savory Taiwanese breakfast staples!
Here's what I had for lunch -- well, I'm incredibly jetlagged so this was in the afternoon.
Soy milk with egg pancakes and a fried savory donut wrapped in sticky rice, served with a sweet-spicy sauce! The egg pancake is basically scrambled eggs and a scallion pancake. I got these from a little breakfast stand near my parent's place.
I wish I knew where to find this delicious Taiwanese breakfast food in New York!
