Can you guess where you can find her in one of the new dramas? We've seen Kim Mi Kyung in many unique and indispensable characters. Shifting effortlessly from roles such as Park Shin Hye's hearing-impaired mother in Heirs, the eccentric and tech-savvy operative behind Ji Chang Wook's Healer, or the take-charge nurse in Joo Won's Yong Pal, she is like a chameleon who can be so immersed in a new environment that you don't notice the awesome actress behind the character's facade.

You are a very knowledgeable K-drama fan if you answered Saimdang: Light's Diary!

Kim Mi Kyung has had an illustrious career playing very diverse character roles. She is always willing to take on a new challenge. Among the many wonderful support actresses in K-dramaland, she especially specializes in strong female characters. It's also surprising that she is only 53 and has already played characters in very different age groups.

In the new mystery drama with a romantic link with Korea's past, she plays Director Sun of an art gallery which owns a rare painting whose authenticity is being questioned. She comes across as a tough businessman who speaks softly but wields strong power.

The drama has just started, so it's not clear whether Director Sun will turn out to be the ultimate villain to our leading lady and heroine played by Lee Young Ae, the Hallyu star who rose to fame in Jewel in the Palace

What we do know for sure is that Kim Mi Kyung will leave an indelible impression in the unfolding saga.
