With their recent hot performance at the American Music Awards, K-Pop boy band BTS has been receiving huge amounts of attention from new international fans. If they've caught your eye and you want to know more about these seven Korean cuties, here are seven facts you need to know!

1. BTS has 7 members:

RM (formerly Rap Monster), the main rapper and leader. He speaks fluent English and often speaks for the group.

Jin, a vocalist and the visual (the one who is suppossed to be most attractive).

Suga, the lead rapper.

J-Hope, the main dancer, vocalist, and rapper.

V, the lead vocalist and dancer.

Jimin, a vocalist and the second visual.

Jungkook, a vocalist, dancer, sub rapper, and the maknae (youngest member) of the group.

2. BTS originally stood for "Bangtan Sonyeondan," which means “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” in Korean, but in 2017, the group decided to rebrand to "Beyond The Scene." Their adoring fan club members call themselves A.R.M.Y, which stands for "Adorable Representative MC for Youth," and they are quite the force to be reckoned with!

3. BTS debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment with the single ‘"No More Dream’" on the album 2 Cool 4 Skool, which won them several new artist awards that year.

4. BTS's popularity is growing exponentially worldwide. They ranked the highest of any Korean act on the Billboard 200, came in #1 on the Social 50 chart, and were the first Korean group to win an award at the Billboard Music Awards. Additionally, Time magazine named them among the 25 most influential people on the internet, and they were listed as the most retweeted artist on Twitter by Forbes.

5. BTS is constantly performing in sold-out concerts and appearing in popular Korean award and variety shows. Here are some of their greatest performances, all of which you can watch in their entirety in the DramaFever BTS collection.

6. The members of BTS aren't just singers, rappers, and dancers, they have ventured into other side projects. V recently tried his hand at acting, starring in the Korean drama Hwarang, and Rap Monster and Suga have both written and released personal mixtapes.

7. BTS is very active on social media, including their official Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and vLive accounts, where they have regular live streams with English subtitles. They were even the first K-pop act to get their own Twitter emoji, BTS’s bulletproof-vest logo.
