A new craze in Japan has people waiting over three hours in line for popcorn. Yep, popcorn!

Chicago's 60+ year old Garrett Popcorn just opened their 3rd store in Japan. The newest store is in Tokyo Station, and immediately the lines grew to be over three hours long. Word must have got around. Garrett Popcorn comes in seven flavors. Chicago Mix, Caramel Crisp, Cheese Corn, Mild Salt, Plain, Almond Caramel Crisp and Cashew Caramel Crisp. I've attached the price list. Definitely high end.

Since this Garrett Popcorn is in Tokyo Station, the main hub for the Shinkansen, travelers from all over will be buying their gifts here to take back to their friends and families. I'm sure it's great popcorn, but after a three hour wait, unpopped popcorn kernels would taste pretty delicious too.
