Biography

Matias Oviedo entered the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile to study music, specifically the Bass, but eventually discovered that the career was not what he expected. He decided to study theater at the same university, staying there the rest of his college career.

His first foray into television was in "Virtual Connection", a small series on the ABT Channel ABT about college students. He later began his first TV series on the TVN Network, where he remains today doing most of his acting work.

His first TV series was "Purasangre", followed by other "16" and "Destinos Cruzados" where he gained more notoriety for his acting skilles. He later participated in "Floribella", the Chilean adaptation of the TV series "Floricienta" from Argentina. One of his most important starring roles came a couple years later with "The Del Monte Sons" playing Gaspar Del Monte.
