Biography

Laura Pamplona was born in Alicante, Spain on the 7th of September, 1973. Although she studied design in college, Pamplona began early in the world of acting. Her career has been closely linked to the television medium in which she has participated in various hit shows. Her first celebrated performance came in the 1997 show Todos los hombres sois iguales. She then parttook in Policías, en el corazón de la calle between the years 2000 and 2003, and subsequently performed in Aquí no hay quien viva between 2003 and 2005.

Laura Pamplona then achieved an important role in the hit show Los misterios de Laura that began in 2009 and is still in production. In 2008 she started a band called Sweet Wasabi consisting of Pamplona and her husband Pedro Barceló. Their first album, titled Írea de servicio, came out in April 2009 and incorporates songs, mostly in English, with influences from genres such as jazz, bolero, bossa nova, pop, and, according to the duo Barceló-Pamplona, undoubted Latin roots.
