Halloween is only a few weeks away, and what better way to get in the ghoulish spirit than by admiring the work of Hong Kong artist Tik Ha, who's created mash-ups of Hollywood horror characters and traditional Chinese paintings with his truly unique style of expression.

Tik Ka is a very successful painter, having participated in group shows and been featured in solo exhibitions around the world. According to his own words, he  is most well known for his combining of current pop culture characters and images and mixing them up with traditional styles of Chinese paintings. In the past, he has created mash-ups of Star Wars characters and even Marvel superheroes with old Chinese style techniques, and now, with Halloween around the corner, he's brought Hollywood horror characters into the mix, inserting them into the world of the ancient Far Eastern art. Like as has been in the past, Tik's art is all about having fun with the past and the present, but there's no question he takes his work very seriously. His skills are evolving, as he continues to work on his craft in his studio in Hong Kong. He has been featured on Dramafever before, where you can see his older work at https://www.dramafever.com/news/latest-fan-art-depicts-marvel-superheroes-dressed-in-ancient-chinese-attire/, and for what he's up to now, you can check out his Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/tikkafromeast/.

Besides being cool to look at, maybe the paintings below will give you some ideas on what to be for Halloween. It'll be here before you know it!
