With the stunning news that Gu Hye Sun has been hospitalized due to an emergency and cannot continue with her role in You Are Too Much, the production team has made the difficult decision to replace her with another actress, Jang Hee Jin. Although you may not have heard of the new leading lady, you probably have seen her in many of your favorite dramas.

In You Are Too Much, the character Hae Dang is a young woman who has shouldered the support of her family's finances with her job as an impersonator of a famous singer. Gu Hye Sun is a perfect fit for the role because of her own independent streak and lively personality that resonates with the viewers.

Will Jang Hee Jin be able to fill Gu Hye Sun's shoes?.

The 33-year-old beauty debuted in 2004 and has shined as a strong actress in supporting roles. She usually plays a character with a tenacious personality, sometimes villainous. Her convincing performances bring her character vividly to life and make it possible for a story to become more robust in the way it engages with the viewers. You can spot her in many dramas, such as the recently completed My Shy Boss.

In Scholar Who Walks the Night, she plays Soo Hyang, an indispensable helper to Lee Joon Ki's vampire scholar, but she can't win his love.

In Mirror of the Witch, she is a conflicted queen in a desperate battle:

Here she is in a candid behind-the-scenes photo with, clockwise, Kim Sae RonYoon Si Yoon, and Lee Ji Hoon. Interestingly, Yoon Si Yoon himself stepped in to help when leading man Kim Jae Won was injured in a motorcycle accident when filming began for Me Too, Flower!.

You Are Too Much has already broadcast 6 episodes, and so it's been reported that Jang Hee Jin may start either with episode 7 or soon after. She faces the extra burden of competing with Gu Hye Sun's outstanding performance in the existing episodes, while she also has to quickly immerse herself in the new character to continue with the rest of the 50-episode story that is sure to have many twists and turns.

We wish the best for Jang Hee Jin, who has answered the tough challenge to step into a role in a most dramatic fashion.

In the meantime, we also hope for Gu Hye Sun's quick recovery. Get well soon, Gu Hye Sun!

I've started watching You Are Too Much and have been captivated from the very first moment. Gu Hye Sun really is an impressive match opposite co-star Uhm Jung Hwa. I'll continue to watch the fabulous drama and will hopefully see Jang Hee Jin shine in her own way.
