Misty’s Kim Je In may be a rookie screenwriter, but we’re already excited to watch her next drama. “The murderer has been [this person] the whole time,” Je In says in a post-Misty interview, where she shared stories from behind the scenes of Misty. “[He] understood the script better than anyone. [He] figured out the entire flow of [his] character after reading up to the fourth episode.” SPOILER ALERT!

“The murderer has been Ji Jin Hee the whole time,” Je In said. “He understood the script better than anyone. He figured out the entire flow of his character after reading up to the fourth episode.”

Misty screenwriter Je In wanted to “talk about the adults’ real love story through Misty. I started from the question of what is the feeling of love.” Let’s see what she had in store for Kang Tae Wook (Ji Jin Hee) and Go Hye Ran (Kim Nam Joo).

Je In sounded like she thought it was so obvious that the murderer was Kang Tae Wook (Ji Jin Hee). Tae Wook was her creation after all. But some in the audience had no clue, and she found it fascinating and somewhat unexpected that the audience had such a hard time figuring out Kevin Lee’s murderer. “Tae Wook has been the murderer since the beginning. I thought I had given a lot of hints about the murderer, but it was interesting and surprising when the audience kept guessing wrong.”

When creating Go Hye Ran (Kim Nam Joo), Je In wanted to give life to “a woman at her peak. I wanted to spotlight the fierce, darker side of a successful woman. So I positioned her as the best anchor,” she explained.

Kim Nam Joo was the number one candidate for the role of Go Hye Ran. “Thankfully, she accepted the offer in a week,” Je In said. Kim Nam Joo’s husband Kim Seung Woo, who is an actor himself, supported her by saying, “This show is made for you,” after reading the Misty script.

Earlier this week, Ji Jin Hee had confirmed that he was to film a wildlife reality TV show with producer Yoo Ho Jin of 1 Night 2 Days, season 3. We wonder if off-the-grid style reality shows are trending in South Korea these days.
