Biography

Alberto San Juan was born on the 11th of January, 1968 in Madrid, Spain. In 1996 he starred in the television series Más que amigos. He debuted in film that same year with a performance in Airbag. He went on to act in Los lobos de Washington and Entre las piernas. In 2002 he was nominated for a Goya Aaward to best supporting actor for his performance in the critically acclaimed El otro lado de la cama.

Alberto San Juan subsequently began to place more emphasis on his theatrical career because the medium offers more autonomy and dominion. Since 2006 he has appeared in 7 plays including Tito Andrónico for which he again earned much institutional acknowledgment. In television he has appeared in various series since Más que amigos, including Siete vidas, Hermanos y detectives, and Águila roja. His most recent performances have come in the film Una pistola en cada mano, the play Hamlet, and the Spanish version of Cheers, all from 2012.
