Biography

SHINee shot to superstardom with their debut hit single "Reply (Noona You Are So Pretty)" in May 2008. Despite their hot solo careers, members Onew, Jong Hyun, Key, Min Ho, and Tae Min have remained a solid SM Entertainment boy band for over 7 years.

They have released five full-length K-pop albums, numerous mini and repackaged albums, and three J-pop albums, and they have been part of fifteen tours, including eight of their own solo tours. Their 2008 debut album The SHINee World sold over 100,000 copies and included K-pop classics "Replay" and "Love Like Oxygen." It was later repackaged to include "Amigo".

In 2010, Lucifier hit airwaves, and the single "Obsession" became the theme song for Jang Dong Gun's New Zealand-South Korean fantasy action film Warrior's Way. The Misconceptions of Me and The Misconceptions of You exploded on the music scene in 2013 with the hits "Dream Girl" and "Why So Serious." From 2011 to 2014, they released the J-Pop albums The First, Boys Meet U, and I'm Your Boy, which included translated versions of their most popular K-pop singles.

SHINee has won countless awards for their popularity on the K-pop scene, including Best New Asian Artist, Popularity Award, Best Male Vocalist, 20s Performance, and Song of The Year, among many others.

In 2015, their Odd album helped them introduce their ShaWols to a more mature image, while Married to the Music was a horror film twist on a repackaged version of the previous release.
