It's no big secret that today's media directly influences our consumer choices, and for better or for worse, our favorite celebrities can have a great impact on what we choose to buy. Well, there is no exception for Goblin: The Lonely and Great God and its two leading men Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) and Wang Yeo (Lee Dong Wook). It makes absolute sense that these impeccably dressed stars are influencing Korea's fashion, but just what are the new trends they are setting? Read on to find out!

If you've seen Goblin: The Lonely and Great God, then you've likely noticed both the dashing good looks of Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook and their distinct fashion aesthetics. Well, it seems that others have noticed too, and now the fashion of Kim Shin and Wang Yeo are setting off new fashion trends in Korea!

The oversized coat has been a staple in Gong Yoo's wardrobe for the hit drama series, and lo and behold, the over-sized coat is now a big fashion trend in Korea.

One coat in particular, seen in episode three of Goblin, is receiving most of the attention. The oversized coat is one of Lanolin Paris' 2016 fall-winter coats and it costs over 4 million won ($3,310)! Due to the coat's rising popularity, after having been worn by Gong Yoo, the coat is becoming more and more difficult to find.

However, Lanolin Paris is not the only designer feeling the "Goblin effect." Other coats that Gong Yoo sports in Goblin, including the latest collections from high-end luxury brands Givenchy, Burberry, and Tom Ford, are all garnering a lot of attention from fashion-conscious fans, even though some of these coats have not yet been officially launched in Korea!

While Gong Yoo is causing a feverish trend for over-sized coats, Lee Dong Wook’s portrayal of the Grim Reaper is making a different fashion statement with his many black suits. And while some might find it harder to emulate Gong Yoo's fashion trends—the coats he wears tend to be harder to find and more costly—Lee's fashion seems much more accessible, tending towards more readily available (and affordable) young designer brands.

Interestingly, because Lee's character's fashion is not always somber, despite being a grim reaper, many fashion brands have been trying to sponsor him knowing he gives off a not-so-ordinary vibe.
