It has great acting, very believable war scenes and tremendous hisorical value for people unfamiliar with this chapter in Korean history. (Spoiler alert) For me the hardest thing to watch was the female lead. She just kept getting me angrier and angrier as the drama went on. She kept protecting a brother SHE KNEW was either plotting or trying to kill a lot of innocent people. She even abandoned her little sister to follow him. To me, she was as guilty as her brother for many deaths, including the little boy she did not take to the hospital or get meds for because she was afraid to be discovered by her sister of all people. She almost had her lover killed by her brother, if her brother had not been shot he would have killed many, many more people. She also shared responsibility in the death of the guards in the jeep and her own sister. Even mothers turn on their sons they know they would otherwise kill a lot of innocent people. I felt absolutely no sympathy for her character and she was a traitor.
Great characters, great acting--feel good drama. Loved it!
