El Gran Wyoming was born in Madrid, Spain on May 15th, 1955. At the beginning of his music career he played in the band Paracelso and later on acted in musical shows along with the pianist Maestro Reverendo. El Gran Wyoming then shifted gears and jumped into television where he did shows like Silencio se juega, La noche se mueve, and El peor programa de la semana (1993), which Televisión Española suspended because of fear that there was going to be offensive jokes about the Royal Family in the show.

In 1996 El Gran Wyoming came back to television but this time through Telecinco. Here he presented the show Caiga quien caiga for seven seasons and it was one of the most successful of the channel. This show brought El Gran Wyoming over thirty awards like Ondas and the TP de Oro. Later on in 2004 he launched a new TV show called La azotea de Wyoming that ended up being big failure and was removed. In 2006 he presented the nocturnal show laSexta where he performed satirical comments about the daily life. Besides acting he also wrote in a column for the newspaper Público del grupo Mediapro.
