Biography

Zheng Ge Ping is a Singaporean actor. He was a chef before entering a drama performers' training course in 1987 to start his actor career. His black belt in Taekondo has made him a versatile and popular actor in many action films including both modern and historical dramas.

He made his debut in 1987 in a TV drama and has become a strong character actor who can portray diverse roles. His representative works are in dramas such as Return of the Condor Heroes (1998), Work of Life (1999), The Legendary Swordsman (2000), The Shining Star (2006), and Together (2010). For all the above, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Star Awards.

After many years of playing in supporting roles, he finally won the Best Actor award at the Star Awards for his performance as the father in the drama series, Like Father, Like Daughter (2007). He was again nominated for Best Actor at the Star Awards for the drama series, Kampong Ties (2011).

He directed for the first time in his self-produced movie, a short film, Unconditioned Love, in 2013.
